Keith Wyche, M.D., F.A.C.C.


Education


Dr. Wyche was born and raised in New Jersey. He joined us in July 2002, after completing his fellowship training at Emory University in Atlanta, where he was Chief Fellow for Cardiology. He received his bachelors degree in biology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and graduated from medical school at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. Training in Internal medicine at the University of Minnesota was followed by a year as Chief Resident. He is one of the few level three trained cardiac CT angiographers in the area, and is a founding member of the Society of Cardiovascular CT. In addition, Dr. Wyche has been performing Tilt Table Studies since joining Waccamaw Cardiology.

Volunteer Activities

Dr. Wyche served 6 years on the board of directors of Careteam in Myrtle Beach; two of those years in the capacity as president of the board. Careteam provides social and medical services to those affected by HIV in our community. Dr. Wyche has served as director of the cardiac rehabilitation program, and currently is director of the cardiac CT program at Conway Medical Center. Dr. Wyche is dedicated to the success of Waccamaw Cardiology and Conway Medical Center as he actively serves on several committees including critical care, and pharmacy and therapeutics. He is the physician champion of the May Day Task Force (CPR committee).

Personal

Dr. Wyche enjoys living in a beach community as it gives him opportunity to enjoy scuba diving, and beach-combing. If he is not on the beach you may find him tending to his tomato plants or manicuring his yard. Dr. Wyche leads by example by being active in his own personal health and fitness.
